The information on this page has come from either the parish registers of All Saints' Church, Wotton Underwood, or the marriage database of the Buckinghamshire Family History Society. This research is being done jointly with another family member.

Our branch of the White family has been traced back to Joseph White, a sojourner, who married Elizabeth Fletcher at Wotton Underwood on 25 July 1752.

One of their sons, another Joseph, married Rose Oldaker in Wotton Underwood in 1791. Two of Joseph and Rose's children moved to Whitechapel in Middlesex. William, their youngest child, had moved to London by 1836. He and his wife Mary Ann (nee Cobden) lived in Whitechapel. Joseph and Rose's eighth child Benjamin also moved to Whitechapel.

Further information about William and Benjamin can be found on the White Family in London page.
